For twenty-eight years this studio has photographed the children of the Illawarra. Some of the services on our books today were on our books in our first year of trading, and a number of the children we photograph are the children of children we once photographed.
A Established Method, Applied Consistently
The studio operates to a documented photographic standard which has been revised four times since 1998 and is supplied to every service we work with. It specifies the lighting arrangement, the seating position, the sequence in which rooms are photographed, and the checks performed before, during and after each session.
The purpose of that document is not ceremony. It is so that a portrait produced by this studio in 2026 is recognisably the work of the same studio that produced one in 2009, and so that a service knows precisely what will occur on the day.
The Portrait Programme
I. Individual Portraiture
Each child is photographed individually in a formal seated portrait and a second, less formal frame. Both are supplied. The lighting arrangement is identical in every service, so that portraits remain comparable across years and between siblings.
II. Room and Class Groups
Every room is photographed as a group, arranged in the traditional tiered format with each child's name recorded in the order in which they are seated. A named composite is supplied to the service for display.
III. Staff and Ancillary
Individual and collective portraits of educators and staff are provided to the service without charge, together with a set of photographs of the premises for use in enrolment and promotional material.

Written proposals for the 2027 season are issued from September. Services presently engaged are offered their existing dates before new enquiries are considered, as has been our practice since the studio was founded.
