Mostly about weather, money and what happens if their kid's away.
What does it cost?
One flat pack price per child, listed on the order page and identical for everybody. It includes every frame of your child from the day, as full-size files with nothing stamped on them. Prints are available separately if you want them, and plenty of families don't bother.
What if it rains?
We move the day, usually with a couple of days' notice. There's no fee for that and no cap on how many times we'll do it. Light drizzle we'll often work through — soft light, happy kids.
My child was away. Now what?
We come back. Always, and at no cost. If several children missed out it'll be a proper catch-up morning within a few weeks; if it's just yours, one of us will call in.
How long have we got to order?
Twelve months. If you need longer than that, email us and we'll extend it — we've never said no.
Do you photograph babies?
Yes, and we like it. Under-twos get photographed wherever they're settled, often being held by an educator. We just crop the educator out afterwards.
What should we dress them in?
Whatever they were going to wear anyway. Please don't put them in something special — it photographs stiffly and it isn't them. Plain colours beat big logos, and that's the only advice we've got.
How does consent work?
Your centre gives us its consent list and we go through it name by name with the nominated supervisor on the morning, before we start. Anyone we're not certain about doesn't get photographed. We'd much rather miss a child than photograph one we shouldn't have.
Are you all checked?
Every photographer holds a current Victorian Working with Children Check. We send card numbers and expiry dates in writing before the booking, with our public liability certificate.
How far do you travel?
Bendigo, the goldfields, Echuca, Shepparton, Castlemaine, Daylesford, out towards Ballarat. Further than that, ask — if we can make it work in a day we usually will.
Can our centre use the photos?
Yes. Room groups, educator portraits and all the yard photography are licensed to you permanently, free, for your website and enrolment material.
Do you pay centres a commission?
No, and we won't. We'd rather the centre chose us because they like the photos.
