How we look after your family's information, including the photographs themselves.
Who we are
Sunny Days Photography, Wollongong, New South Wales. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
From centres and schools: children's names, their room or class, and the photography consent recorded for each. From families: your name, email address, a postal address if you order a printed photograph, and your order history. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
Photographs of children
A photograph of a child is personal information and we treat it accordingly. We photograph a child only where consent has been recorded by the service and confirmed by us with the nominated supervisor on the morning of the session.
We use the photographs to fulfil your order and to supply the centre or school with its own group photographs, staff portraits and site photography. A child's photograph is never published on this website or anywhere public without separate written permission from that family for that specific use, and that permission can be withdrawn at any time. We act on withdrawals the same day.
Our archive, and why we keep it
We have kept every photograph we have taken since 1998, so that families can order reprints years later. This is a deliberate policy and we tell every centre about it. If you would prefer your child's photographs were not kept, tell us and we will delete them within one business day and confirm in writing.
Where it is stored
On Australian servers, encrypted, with a second copy held offline at our Wollongong premises. Access is limited to our six photographers and our office manager.
Who else sees it
Our print laboratory and our payment provider, only as far as is needed to fulfil an order. We do not sell, rent, license or exchange personal information, and we do not send marketing emails.
Access, correction and complaints
Write to admin@sunnydaysphotography.com.au to request a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or have your child's photographs deleted. We reply within thirty days. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner accepts complaints at oaic.gov.au.
This website
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags. Web fonts are the only thing loaded from outside our own site.
