who we are

Northlight Studio, Fitzroy North, Victoria. Bound by the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

what we collect

From centres: child names, room, and recorded photography consent. From families: name, email, delivery address where a print is ordered, and order history. Card details go directly to our payment provider and are never held by us.

photographs

A photograph of a child is personal information. We photograph only where consent is recorded by the centre and confirmed by us on the morning of the session.

Images are used to fulfil the family's order and to supply the centre with its room groups, educator portraits and environment set. No child's image appears on this website or anywhere public without separate written permission from that family for that use. Permission may be withdrawn at any time and is actioned the same day.

storage

Australian hosting, encrypted at rest. Access limited to the studio principal. Original files are retained five years to allow reordering, then destroyed.

disclosure

Print laboratory and payment provider only, and only as required to fulfil an order. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We operate no marketing list.

access and correction

Write to admin@northlightportraits.com.au to request a copy, a correction, or deletion. We respond within thirty days. Complaints may be directed to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
