01 — questions

answers.

Short ones.

what does a family pay?

One fee per child. It includes every usable frame at full resolution. There is no package structure and nothing further to buy. Prints are available and optional.

do you charge the centre?

No. We also do not pay centres a commission. Both distort the decision.

why is there no outdoor option?

Because controlled light is the entire method. Outdoors we could not guarantee that every portrait matches every other portrait, which is what centres come to us for.

do you photograph schools?

No. Schools require a scale and a speed that would compromise the method.

what if a child will not sit?

We leave them and return later in the morning. If they still will not, we come back on another day at no charge. No child is pressed.

what if a child is absent?

We return within three weeks at no charge.

how long do families have to order?

Twelve months. There is no reminder email and no expiry warning.

do you retouch?

Colour and exposure only. We do not alter a child's face.

how much space do you need?

Roughly three metres square, in a corner, with a power point. No room is closed.

how is consent handled?

Your list, confirmed with your nominated supervisor on the morning, name by name. Unconfirmed is not photographed.

are you checked?

Current Victorian Working with Children Check. Number and expiry supplied in writing before each engagement, with insurance certificates.

where are files held?

Australian hosting, encrypted, five years, then destroyed.
