Privacy policy

Who we are

Hopscotch Photography, Newcastle, New South Wales. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

From centres and schools: children's names, their room or class, and whether photo consent has been recorded. From families: your name, email address, a postal address only if you order a print, and your order history. We never see your card details — they go straight to our payment provider.

Photos of children

Photos are personal information and we treat them as such. We photograph a child only where consent has been recorded by the service and confirmed by us on the morning.

We use them to fill your order and to give the centre its room groups, educator portraits and centre photography. We never publish a child's photo on this website, on social media or anywhere public unless that family has separately agreed to that exact use. Change your mind any time — email us and it's down that day.

Where it lives

Australian servers, encrypted. Only our five photographers can get to it. We keep photo files for three years so you can re-download them, then delete them permanently.

Who we share it with

Only our print lab and our payment provider, only to fill an order. We never sell, rent or swap your details. We don't run a marketing list at all.

Marketing

We send exactly one email per photo day — the one with your gallery link in it. There is no newsletter and nothing to unsubscribe from.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your child's photos. Email admin@hopscotchphotography.com.au. We reply within thirty days. Unhappy with how we handle it? The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes complaints at oaic.gov.au.

This website

No cookies. No analytics. No Facebook pixel. No advertising trackers of any kind. The only external thing this page loads is its fonts.
